Misogyny, Racism, and the Regressive Agenda Threatening America

Washington, DC – The misogyny that has always stood beside racism and xenophobia and always just barely under wraps has blossomed forth. Apparently,  people of the male gender are so insecure concerning their masculinity and their ability to attract a woman that they are asserting that a woman’s body is theirs to use as they please. This does not bode well for women.

Women were the last group to have their right to participate in the government, and it was only a couple of decades ago that marital rape was considered a thing. Like the advances of people of color under the civil rights laws, with the tacit approval of the thug soon-to-be president of the white male, ostensibly Christian, Divided States of America, the advances of women’s rights are under a frontal assault.

On the porn site owned by the immigrant billionaire Elon Musk, it has been suggested that women’s right to vote should be repealed. The Talibanesque trend in a subset of humans with penises is very ugly and, for women, frightening. The notions put forward suggest that taking and using a woman’s body is simply a male prerogative. The phrase” your life my body” has wisps of ownership of all women jointly held by all men. Presumably, the thug will rescind all sex crime statutes. Since most religious organizations already have for centuries tolerated all kinds of predation, it is just a tiny stop for mankind to follow suit. Womenkind shall have no right of refusal.

The MAGA cult will remake America into a repressive state, much like the most regressive Muslim countries. The dystopian country the thug suggests already exists will become a reality. Women’s safety will be even more perilous. Date rape, raping of the unconscious, and rape of children will no longer be a problem or a crime because a woman’s body does not belong to her. The Supreme Court made that clear.

The drumbeat of xenophobia, with the thug in chief as Drum Major, has reached a crescendo, and the bloody concerto will reveal this benighted land the same as the vicious countries we used to execrate. The plan to scarf up “illegals” and preemptively deport them will undoubtedly result in some citizens being caught up in the chaos. Children born in the United States are citizens. If their parents are not and are deported, what happens to them? There are laws that delineate how deportations are handled. Are we simply putting people on planes without due process? Will we also deport all the Europeans who are here on expired visas, or are white people exempted?

Sometimes, things have to get as bad as they can get so folks can experience the kind of country the thug and his cohorts want to create. The next couple of years are going to be a rough ride, but if we still have elections, then it is likely that We The People will turn Congress over. South Korea went through a time like this in the 1980’s. They came out of it. We will, too. The carnage left behind for women and families will take a long time to heal.
