Webinar – Indo-Pacific Strategy: Views from Japan, India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia

Global Strat View is hosting a panel discussion on Saturday February 25, 10 AM (ET) on Indo-Pacific Strategy: Views from Japan, India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia.

From QUAD, to Arc of Freedom and Prosperity, to Security Diamond, to the Indo Pacific Strategy, it took the late Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe 10 years to put his vision to counter China’s fast-growing influence on the world stage. Former US President Donald Trump adopted it, and now it is mentioned in almost every meeting President Joe Biden attends, be it G7, G20, ASEAN, UN, EU or NATO. In this panel discussion we will hear opinions from regions this strategy covers, how it is being received and implemented, and the challenges it faces.

Paris Huang, White House Correspondent, Voice of America Chinese Branch will moderate a discussion with a panel of experts including:

Asanga Abeyagoonasekera, international security and geopolitics analyst and strategic advisor, Senior Fellow at the Millennium Project in Washington DC.

Joyce Lin, Professor, Department of Diplomacy and International Relations, Tamkang University, Taiwan

Masahiro Okoshi, The Nikkei, Washington Bureau Chief

Ashok Sajjanhar, India’s former Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Sweden & Latvia
